Centrafrique: bilan des combats après la reprise de la ville de Sikikédé

En Centrafrique, l’état-major des armées annonce la reprise de la ville de Sikikédé dans la préfecture de Vakaga des mains des rebelles de la Coalition des patriotes pour le changement (CPC).

Jeudi 7 mars, Sikikédé, localité située à l’extrême nord-est du pays, était passée sous contrôle des rebelles de la CPC qui menaçaient d’étendre leur progression dans d’autres régions. Dans un communiqué publié le samedi 9 mars, l’état-major des armées dresse le bilan des combats et précise que le ratissage se poursuit dans la localité :« L’intention de ces ennemis de la paix est d’entretenir un climat d’insécurité dans la zone, en testant leur capacité de nuisance auprès de notre force, afin de faire comprendre à l’opinion nationale et internationale qu’ils sont de retour pour replonger le pays dans un nouveau chaos ».

« Malheureusement pour eux, les forces armées centrafricaines ont fait montre de détermination et de professionnalisme, les mettant en déroute en leur infligeant de lourdes pertes avec le bilan ci-après : plus d’une quarantaine de rebelles tués et plusieurs motos détruites par l’aviation ; plusieurs blessés en fuite ainsi qu’un passeport et une carte d’identité étrangère saisis. Du côté des forces armées centrafricaines (FACA), il a été enregistré un cas de blessure et la perte de cinq éléments tombés sur le champ d’honneur », poursuivent les militaires centrafricains.

« Quant à la Coalition des patriotes pour le changement, en général, l’état-major des armées leur demande de déposer les armes sans délai », a déclaré le commandant Franck Gonidé, porte-parole de l’état major.
