Sierra Leone : le rallye Budapest-Bamako a conquis la région

De la Hongrie en Europe centrale à la Sierra Leone en Afrique de l’Ouest, le rallye Budapest-Bamako revient à Freetown pour la troisième fois.

Connu comme le plus grand rallye de voitures amateurs du monde et le plus grand événement humanitaire d’Afrique, cette année, des Sierra-Léonais ont participé pour la première fois, et trois d’entre eux ont sensibilisé le public à l’autisme.

« Nous voulons juste encourager plus de sierra-léonais à participer aux prochains événements si vous le pouvez bien sûr. J’ai apprécié cette expérience et le temps passé avec ces deux messieurs« , explique Drizilik, un artiste sierra-léonais.

 » L’idée de partir d’Europe en voiture jusqu’en Afrique de l’Ouest a été une expérience extraordinaire. Le paysage, les gens, la culture et la nourriture. Mais plus important encore, la sensibilisation, l’amour et le soutien que nous recevons de la part des habitants de la Sierra Leone« , déclare Mohamed Waritay, un participant.

Le fondateur et directeur du rallye Budapest Bamako, Andrew Szabo, a déclaré que Freetown avait été choisie pour accueillir le rallye en raison des problèmes de sécurité à Bamako.

 » J’organise le rallye Budapest -Bamako depuis 18 ans, celui-ci dure depuis près de 20 ans et c’est une expérience fantastique. La ministre du Tourisme et des Affaires culturelles de la Sierra Leone, Nabeela Tunis, décrit une aventure remarquable, soulignant qu’elle contribuera à générer de l’argent pour le pays.

« Nous envisageons l’effet multiplicateur sur l’économie. Si vous avez 600 personnes dans le pays, vous savez qu’elles prendront certainement un hôtel et bien plus encore. Il y aura__probablement__une nette amélioration de la génération de l’argent au cours des deux prochains jours. Nous sommes également heureux de l’intégration des participants parce qu’ils sont ici pour voir la Sierra Leone telle qu’elle est vraiment.« 

Cette année, la Sierra Leone a accueilli plus de 600 participants avec plus de 300 véhicules, parcourant les routes principales depuis Bureh Town dans la zone rurale de l’ouest jusqu’à la ligne d’arrivée à Lumley, dans la zone urbaine de l’ouest.
